send a package

Getting snail mail is the best. All I really receive are pre approved credit cards. Fun times.  Greeting cards are great, but a package(?!) is even better. When I was with Courtney, she expressed that she liked my headband. I already had one made so I knew right away I'd give it to her. I decided to make it extra special by mailing it to her. I also added extra things to make it more special.

I hope this inspires you to make a gift package for your friend!

  1. Awhh I love this post. There is nothing better than receiving a package put together with love from your friends. This has totally inspired me to finish up the care-packages I've been meaning to work on for sometime now! My favorite things to drop into a package: candy, books, sweet notecards, and comfy socks.

  3. I really like sending and receiving postcards, too. My sister is really big on sending them to me when she's out of town. It's the little things. :)

  4. I love this! Such a sweet post and it's true, there isn't anything quite as joyous as something special on the mail. My parents send my kiddos a small gift or card in the mail every week or so, and they think it's the best thing that's ever happened!

  6. Sending (and receiving) packages & letters is one of my favorite things! So much more personal & thoughtful!! I always send my friends birthday cards in the mail on their birthdays, even though I have to wait at least 30 minutes at the post office to send them haha xx

    1. 30 minutes?! That's crazy. & that's a good idea! I think it would be cute to send some a card even if you see them on their birthday. That would be nice.

  7. I am a big fan of snail mail as well - both sending and receiving. I love that you wrapped the package with twine - did the postal service give you any trouble about it? I recently mailed a gift and was told that wrapping paper was a no-no, but perhaps that's just because it could be torn off?

    1. I made it all cute and pretty on the outside and then put it in another box to ship. I could imagine that wrapping paper could get really dirty being mailed. >.< Hope that idea helps!
