I watched Blue Valentine tonight. It is an extremely moving film. I loved it.
One thing that was plaguing my mind though is, do I want to cut my bangs like Michelle Williams' character? I've had side bangs before but she has bangs on the other side of her part as well ... Thoughts?

i say go for it! changing it up is always fun (plus they are longish so you can always pin them back if need be)
